To provide

a focus for young bi-lingual children and raise achievements through the provision of mother tongue and supplementary classes for key stage 3 and 4.

Boundary Community School (BCS) was founded on the 21st of February in 1982. BCS as a registered charity has been providing education, youth and employment related activities for the local communities in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets for more than a quarter of a century.

From day one BCS has clearly defined its objectives to provide mother tongue education for young bilinguals, supplementary education for students in core subjects and help them to achieve better results in their mainstream examinations, guide those students with diverse educational backgrounds and those who are facing learning difficulties and support students in their welfare, social and cultural activities.

From 1999, BCS has also started to provide estate based ICT training for the local residents of Boundary Estate in order to equip local people with up-to-date hands on experience of computing so that they will be ready for the world of work in the IT industry, retail, and financial sector.

BCS is one of the oldest grass roots community organisation in Tower Hamlets led by the Black Minority Ethnic (BME) community. It is a proactive enterprise aimed at helping local communities through training, advice and guidance towards employment opportunities. It has been helping residents living in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to find employment.
